Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

This policy applies to the Price-Link website at www.price-link.net and to original materials made available through it. Unless stated otherwise, original Price-Link text, software, source code, graphics, logos, icons, photographs, illustrations, databases, data compilations, page layouts, and other creative materials are owned by or lawfully licensed to FJ M Gey van Pittius and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Copyright protects original expression; it does not give Price-Link ownership of general ideas, concepts, methods, facts, product information, or the general idea of a local price-comparison or procurement service.

Price-Link grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the website and its content for your lawful personal or internal business purchasing needs. You may make a reasonable number of copies or printouts for those purposes, provided all ownership notices remain intact. No other right or licence is granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.

Except with prior written permission or where the law expressly allows it, you may not:

• reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly display, modify, translate, or create derivative works from Price-Link materials;
• commercially exploit Price-Link materials or imitate protected elements of the website's interface, visual design, or presentation;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract content or data, including prices, availability, supplier information, product records, or database structure;
• compile, reuse, or supply extracted data to create, train, enrich, benchmark, or operate a competing product, service, database, machine-learning system, or artificial-intelligence model;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover source code, data models, algorithms, or non-public functionality, except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by law;
• remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notices;
• claim ownership of Price-Link materials or falsely imply authorship, endorsement, affiliation, or permission; or
• adopt or use confusingly similar names, logos, domains, trade dress, or branding.

Nothing in this policy limits quotation, criticism, review, reporting, research, interoperability, accessibility, fair dealing, or any other exception or user right that cannot lawfully be waived.

The Price-Link name, logo, brand assets, and distinctive presentation may be protected by trademark, passing-off, copyright, or other laws. You may refer to Price-Link truthfully in ordinary text, but may not use its branding in a way that is misleading, confusing, or suggests sponsorship, affiliation, or approval without written permission.

Merchant names, trademarks, logos, product images, product descriptions, specifications, prices, and other supplier or third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners or licensors. Their appearance on Price-Link does not transfer ownership to Price-Link and does not necessarily imply endorsement. Use of those materials may be governed by separate third-party terms.

You retain any intellectual-property rights you hold in content you submit. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and grant Price-Link a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, display, transmit, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, promote, and provide the Price-Link service. This operational licence lasts while the content is hosted and for reasonable backup, audit, legal-compliance, and record-retention periods afterward.

You may link to publicly available Price-Link pages lawfully and fairly, provided the link does not mislead users, frame the website, bypass access controls, or imply endorsement. Brief quotations are permitted when legally allowed, proportionate to the purpose, accurately attributed, and accompanied where practical by a link to the source.

If you believe material on Price-Link infringes your rights, email [email protected] with: your name and contact details; identification of the protected work or right; the exact URL and a clear description of the challenged material; the basis for your claim; evidence that you own or may act for the rights holder; and a good-faith statement that the information is accurate. Price-Link may request further information, restrict or remove material while reviewing a report, notify the contributor, and restore material if the claim is not substantiated.

Knowingly false, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith reports may be rejected and may expose the sender to liability. A contributor who believes material was restricted by mistake may contact the same address with supporting evidence and a clear explanation.

Price-Link may investigate suspected misuse, preserve evidence, suspend or terminate access, remove content, block automated traffic, and pursue available civil, criminal, injunctive, or other lawful remedies. These rights are cumulative. A delay or failure to enforce any right is not a waiver, and a waiver in one instance does not waive future enforcement.

This policy may be amended by publishing an updated version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date. Requests to reproduce, license, or otherwise use Price-Link materials beyond the permission given here should be sent to [email protected] with a description of the material, intended use, audience, territory, and duration.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia, subject to any mandatory rights or rules that apply in your jurisdiction.
